Portfolio, Pt 1

This may not (probably won't) be the series of photos I turn in for our first portfolio assignment, but I spent all afternoon yesterday photographing Scotsgrove (I liked and saved 114 photos, if that tells you anything), and I'm going to take a stab at sifting through them and making a put-together "series".  Please tell me what you think!!!

  1. I actually really like the first couple. I think a series on the details of the place without horses or people in it could be super interesting. There are so many clues to their existence that they don't even have to be in the photos to be felt.

  2. That part of the barn fascinates me--how little things show that this barn is well used and well loved. With this series, though, I wanted to show an almost cinematic process of the barn and the arena opening up for a lesson. Not sure how successful it was, but that was the goal! I started with a series of 25, and I thought it was better at about 12 or 15, but I wanted to practice limiting it to just 10.

  3. I love the idea. My favorites are the close-up detail shots and I also really like the photo of the woman in the barn. I think you could make a really good series out of the images.
